Still Home for the Holidays

As we all prepare for the season at hand, many of us are slowly coming to the reality that this holiday we will once again face the pandemic and the inability to easily be with family or friends.

The recent article in the NYTimes shares many ideas the residents of NYC are doing to substitute their trips to be with family members, or to take exotic vacations, but how can we take these ideas and apply them to ourselves?

Both my husband and I have begun partaking in weekly family Zoom calls since the pandemic has begun to try and feel more connected with our loved ones who live at a distance from us. At the onset of the stay at home mandate many of us participated in friend or work colleague Zoom calls for happy hours, or games. My work out group, Pack Attack, has even hosted baking gatherings where the ingredients list is sent out in advance and then we all make the healthy treat together - family members are welcome.

What ideas have you incorporated into your new world order? No matter what it is, as long as it helps you feel more connected to our fellow human beings that is what matters.
